I am curious what you're locations are doing to drive traffic into your store. I work in a rather slow store, for activations, and am looking for some ideas to get customer into our store. We already use RAK cards to get customers in. Any other tips or advice?

We do flyers and community events alot. We also do Cellby and balloon arches over our stores signs, anything to attract an eye.

Of course the best way to drive traffic is word of mouth. you have to talk to everyone you know about the service. if someone hears about something from a friend then they are very likely to be interested. On the other hand, doing this means you have to eat, sleep, breathe, and s#!& work. otherwise you can sit and hope customers will find their way in to the store. word of mouth is all you really can do. All marketing is strictly controlled by the company. You can always bring ideas to the marketing person in your area as well.

Truly, word of mouth is a powerful form of advertisment. Give balloons to customers children, greet them outside, do the umbrella walk, BELIEVE IN SOMETHING BETTER!!! LOL...wow that was cheesy.

Canvasing.

I do this once a month and it usually brings me in a couple lines or a renewal every month.

Go shop in the mall and any retail store in your neighborhood and strike up convos with associates and other patrons about anything and gradually bring it into cell phones.

People always complain about their cell phones, so, there you go, you have an oppurtunity to talk about USC, give them a business card and invite them into your store.

Easy as that. Just takes some guts and devotion of your day off once a month.
