BB Perl w/out BB service?
Hi, I am looking to upgrade my phone to a BB Perl. I do not want to pay for BB service. On the web sight, it appears that you do not have to pay the extra $39.99 month. Is this true?

That is what I thought. However, on their web sight, if you add the BB Perl, the additional charge doesn't show up, like it does for all of the other phones? Is this just an error?

i would say it is an error, cuz the same thing happened to me while on their site. If you visit the store, they will confirm that it requires a data plan.

Telesales will require the customer to add the data plan...they would contact them pro-call.

get the 24.99 4mb plan atleast its cheaper and trust me when you have the data usage you will use it thats what the phone was designed for.

Yea this is being asked in almost all the forms. and no you cant get the phone with out the data plan. sorry the reson being is that bb and other pda companys make deals with cell companys they have to sell the data plans. This sucks I know becuase i get a lot of customers that just want a good phone that also have the calendar feachers that a bb has.
I hope that cell companys see that there is market out there for a phone pda hybred and there are phones that are coming out like that such as the voyager. Were geting there but we are not there yet.
My only other imput is this tryout the pda's with the data you mite just be suprsied to see that you use it and that it at times can pay for its self. you do have 30 days to try the phone.
