Picture Messaging To phone

I do not have a picture messaging plan, in case that matters.

But when my friends send me a picture message I don't actually get the picture. I just get that stupid text message that says "Your friend sent you a picture go to messaing.uscellular.com and enter this code..."
I know the website isn't right, but it's been a while since I've gotten one.
But I really don't like that, I wish I could actually get the pictures on my phone. Why is USCC doing this to us?

All you need to do is have them activate the picture message pay as you go to recieve them to your phone.

If you add pay as you go picture messaging, a pay as you go easyedge feature is also activated on your account. However, you can request easyedge to be blocked.

If you do in fact go in and download free applications on easyedge, such as My Contacts Backup, you will be billed $3/MB. Unless you go crazy in easyedge, you won't be billed that much, and the nice thing is, U.S. Cellular puts a cap on how much you will be billed for data transfer to ensure an ideal experience with easyedge.

clarification for everyone on easyedge and picture messaging...because you've got it almost, but not quite right.

the reason you are receiving text messages prompting you to go to the website is that you have a code on your account which equates to "legacy picture messaging." this was primarily in place when people didn't have picture capable phones (grayscale screens, no camera, etc). since that time, there has been a change.

Now, you have what we call easyedge, which is the online shop for ringtones, gps (on some phones), games, news, etc. there are two options for easyedge (from here on, ee): unlimited for 9.95/month which covers all the data usage between the network and your phone (not the cost of third-party apps). with unlim...

Yes have US Cellular add PAY AS YOU GO Picture messaging and PAY AS YOU GO Data and have them BLOCK easyedge and you're good to go.
25 cents to send pics though unless you get one of those plans.
If you have a Q you can't get picture messaging. ☚ī¸

The Q cant send pictures through MMS or a text message but you can include a picture and send it as an email. If you want to send a picture to a regular phone through email you would just enter the phone number you want to send it to @mms.uscc.net (9185555555@mms.uscc.net) and the other person will recieve the picture.
