I am WAY too impatient!

Okay, so my contract is up December 7th, or at least that is when I can renew it, and I am going to get a ROKR. I recently moved and get NO reception on my phone in my new townhouse, so USCellular offered to buy out the end of my contract so I can get my new phone now instead of waiting in my no-reception purgatory for another month... so I guess my question is, do you guys know of any deals that they are going to do with the ROKR around Christmas? I really REALLY want this phone, but my commonn sense says that it would be better to wait until around Xmas because it will be cheaper... vs. the 200 and some odd dollars it is now. Please say it will be cheaper to wait!!!

it will go down on the 15th of nov and also prob have a black friday special and a christmas week special. Also you are NOT GUARANTEED a price for 30 DAYS you are only guaranteed the phone not price. I would wait till the 15th then see what it goes down to I would not be shocked to see it at 150 - 80 = 70 or something close to that don't know yet.

btw, you are guaranteed the Price. because a customer could just cancel their renewal within the 30 days and then get the phone again, so whats the point? we just give our customers the difference.

This is the time to get the ROKR, it is a FANTASTIC phone. Great reception, durable and easy to use. The value is increased even more with a 512MB memory card included. Awesome! One of the best prices in the marketplace for this handset.

The ROKR (and RAZR2) run the Moto UI. Its been updated since the RAZR V3m, but its the UI that was designed for the phone.

Motorola designed a much quicker and smoother OS for the Razr2 and the Rokr based on a Linux platform, the "new and improved" motorola platform that these phones now use on USCC, is Motorola's response to placate USCC for not supporting the OS that was originally developed FOR them.

If you actually took the time to read reviews, instead of swallowing everything your employer places in your mouth, you wouldn't have that bad taste right now.

Really?
Because this phone still runs brew, and I thought Linux required Java.
(Oh btw, I don't work for USCC)

lol so smart you can't even reply to the correct post. Oh and get what sweetheart. USCC doesn't edit the os in anyway. You must have uscc confused with sprint, tmobile, att, verizon and your mom.

If you have no reception in your house now, the rokr probaly wont either. You need to get a tri-mode phone which allows analog. It's possible that you live in a poor service area and no phone will help you. Maybe get a booster antenna from wilson electronics, but few models have ports for them anymore. There is a cable that has a sleeve that will fit over an antenna but no luck with the rokr. So get a land line.

yeah, thanks, but wrong! i've had the phone for a solid month now and the differences are amazing. i love love LOVE my phone, it's awesome!!!! i even get reception in my basement, which is insane, because that place is like a black freakig hole! and, seriosly, a land line? worst advice EVER, no one even has use for a land line anymore. my rokr solved EVERYTHING and the phone is soooooooo sweet.
ps. you sound really pessimistic, maybe you should get that checked out? depression is serious man. ;)

Some people just live in rural areas or poor service areas and it doesnt matter what phone you have. But that doesnt sound like the case for you. Since you didn't mention if you were a country bumpkin or not. Your old phone maybe just needed a PRL update or maybe not. But landlines are for some the only way. And take off your rosie colored glasses they cloud your judgement.
