Digital Radio?

Anyone try it out yet?

It's available on the V3m, the U520 and the rokr, whenever we get that.

I work in a store and we have a live demo phone near the door so I though it would be cool to turn on the radio and leave it on to show off that the razr can do that. Use it as a way to sell EE, blah blah blah.
Well I've had it on for about 5 minutes now and it skips and stops. I think it's only played about 2 minutes and it's been on for 5.
Anyone else have better luck with it?

The issue is that the data rate of 1xRTT is slower than the streaming rate of your audio... this service works best with EV-DO Until the release of EV-DO, there is no fix short of a LONG buffer.

I've tried it on the ROKR and yes it skips from time to time, but it's not too bad. My only complaint is the battery dies in a short time, but that's a given.

yeah the digital Radio does run your battery down on your phone but you are pretty much getting a great amout of radio stations on your phone and when we release the EV-DO tech. like Verizon has now... the quality of the digital radio will rapidly improve, the one hang up I have about it is that when someone calls it won't ring in and the call goes strait to your voicemail... hopefully they can fix that...

Since EV-DO is for data only, that should technically fix the whole calls still coming in..... I think..... 😕
