Qchat is the technology that enables quick CDMA push-to-talk. With Sprint, it also will bridge CDMA and iDEN PTT, letting those with qchat enabled phones to walkie-talkie with those with Nextel phones. Qchat is the underlying technology name, but "Nextel Direct Connect" will be the marketing name.
As for the Moto being talked about, I'll remain skeptical of any Motorola until they do a complete 180 in terms of their internals and OS. They usually make attractive phones, but the internals and user interface are generally marginal at best.

i wonder if you can do the Qchat from someone in a Rev-A area, to someone in a place with 1 bar of coverage and not in Rev-A. any ideas if or if it'll not work?

Wow now i know why I dont have an eye for these phones...they dont have antennas. I wish they would come out with a phone that looks like an i880

Because the i880 is a buggy, repeat problematic model that instead of being discontinued was redone in the color it should have been to start with almost three years ago?

well i dont want the i880 because of service.im from new york. everytime i spoke on any nextel phone for about an hour straight i would have the call dropped. having sprint cdma phones is different, i can speak for as much as my battery would let me and almost never drop a call.

ah I see..I like phones with retractable antenna too many don't not understand the appeal. I love the looks of the Motorola V950 so I'm going to make an exception for that big pimpin phone.
