To Junglemassive--- Katana II Question

christmastree15

Hi Jungle,

You were kind enough to answer the possible launch date on Katana II for me, thank you. I was wondering if you had any information on what kind of upgrades this version will have. I will be leaving Verizon soon and am doing research on Sprint phones. I like the Katana's style however the camera and memory are sub-par and was hoping the new version will have better features.

Thanks in advance for any in sight you can offer, take care. 🙂

Hi christmastree15,
For an Sprint corporate employee to divulge any internal information related to our products and services would be a violation of the Extreme Integrity Policy of Sprint as well as our M&Ps. Often internal information regarding a particular wireless phone is tenative and very well could be changed or even dropped before a consumer launch. It's nice to know christmastree15 you are asking a fellow employee to betray his employer just because you are preparing to leave Verizon Wireless. What I would recommend is to just visit Phone Scoop, Phone News as well as the Sprint site and read out PRs when they are issued. Where have the morals and ethics of the Amrican people gone?

Hi Raycarroll70,

this is why I purposely sent my email to Jinglemassive because of the negative feedback the rest of you typically give. I do not read every post on this forum so I did not know that jungle was an employee. What I did get from the few I do read is that this logger is polite and seems to know information that people like me do not know how to locate. I was not asking for inside information just any information that may have been posted on any sites that he follows. Thank you for your input but try not to be so ready to believe that you are the only one with morals and ethics. If I want this kind of attitude I can stay with Verizon. Sad but Im already being insulted by Sprint employees even before my switch. Im not sur...

Chistmastree15,

I do appreciate your constructive feedback. I'm not attacking you personally. I just hate to see anyone ask about potential inside information for their personal gains. I can't blame you for wanting some inside information as that's human nature, but at the same time, people should realize to ask a corporate employee to reveal information they know about a particular product and service that hasn't been released to the general public is much like asking a stockbroker for inside trading information on a particular stock.
Just as an FYI, any Sprint corporate employee I find releasing internal/confidential/proprietary information will be reported to our security department for investigation because I firmly believ...

Tell me one instance where posting launch info or details of upcoming devices hurts Sprint's bottom line? I can understand your disdain for people who post inside info like how to cancel a contract without an ETF or how to get a discount they are not entitled to etc. I never have nor will I ever post info like that. I don't see how device details, etc. does anything but create excitement for a company. Like Apple for example, they announce the iPhone six months before it's release and it's front page news and people are talking about it on the street. Do you think that that announcement hurt Apple? Also, I don't see you jumping up and down when your beloved moderators, Rich and Eric, post leaks about upcoming devices. Any reason you g...

Um, Verizon? New Every Two is 22 months. You can also upgrade after one year on any $49.99 and up calling plan.

If you work for Sprint, you really need to keep up with your competition.

Sprint's rate plan requirement for the Handset Upgrade Program for either the 1 or 2 year contract extension is one of at least $34.99 as the base plan. As far as knowing my competition, I shop them weekly and rotate through different stores so I won't get made.

I may be a Retail Communications Consultant, but I'm proud to be employed in the direct sales channel for Sprint Nextel Inc. and am proud of the progress Sprint Nextel Inc. has made merging two companies together so I saw Power Up! If I discover while perusing the Phone Scoop forums a flagrant violation of our M&Ps and/or the Extreme Integrity Policy and not report it, I would be just as guilty as the person(s) posting it. Corporate employee regardless of the carrier who have an ethic standard to safeguard their proprietary information regarding their carrier's products and service. The information released by Rich and Eric from what I've seen has been information from electronic trade shows as well as FCC submissions both of which is public access. I'm sure some of their information is also obtained via various wireless carrier PRs. As far as Phone News is concerned, I'm not as active there as I am here. There have been a few forum members there I have been able to discover who there were with Sprint and forward my findings to a liason in our security department. Needless to say, these people all of a sudden weren't with Sprint anymore.

You know nothing of how you're supposed to act according to a religion you subscribe to. You should really read up on it, ya know, the bible to see what your God thinks of your actions. With your divorce and these tattle tailings that have resulted in employees losing their job, I hope you know you're buying a one way ticket to your hell.

On top of all this, you can be as loyal to Sprint as you want. But since you are still entry level, and expendable, understand that your loyalities are meaningless.

Hi Ray,

I have a honest question for you (seriously). If you found out that Gary Forsee (Im assuming he is someone big at Sprint) was revealing inside info. Would you report him too?

Think carefully about your answer, if you say yes you run the risk of being fired for being a snitching trouble maker, if you say no you're a hypocrit. (Please dont say Gary would never do this, you dont know that and ask the employees of Enron if they thought their chiefs would ever wrong them).

My point is... that there are all levels of information. Some very important that should be reported and others while not proper are not so important. What it sounds like you do not understand is that not everything is a battle and you need to choose yours c...

You missed my point and I expected you to. Be loyal however. Pick and choose! Loyalty is nothing to them. They can turn around and get rid of you tommorrow without even thinking about it and your loylity to them mean notta. Be layal to the ones that matter!! As a manager I will back and support all my people even if they are wrong. Unless it will wind me up in jail. That is loyality. Things are not black and white. There is alot of gray!! Remember that and you will one day become more than a sales consultant. What I told you will help you not snitching on things that they could care less about.

To me, a manager who goes to bat for their employee even when the manager knows the employee is wrong should be terminated as that shows a lack of integrity of the manager and not someone any employee should look up to for leadership. I do realize loyalty in Corporate America is ebbing away like a low tide when it comes to employees and their companies. I look to Him for guidance for He is ultimately the one who matters. As far as remaining a Retail Communications Consultant goes wombough, I plan on finishing up my BS in CMIS within the next year or two and try to get into our security department.
