WINDOWS MOBILE CROSSBOW! Samsung i760
Just saw on phonearena that Verizon is coming out with 3 new smartphones. 2 by UT Starcom and one by Samsung, BUT the Samsung is the only one of the 3 that's sporting the upgraded version of Windows Mobile dubbed Crossbow. Does anyone know what's upgraded??? Hopefully, screen resolution. If anyone knows please let me know! Thanks!

According to a post with leaked photos on Engadget Mobile, Verizon will be launching the Samsung i760, a device similar to the BlackJack on Cingular, but with a few major differences. The first difference is the inclusion of an 802.11b/g WiFi radio. Also, similar to past Pocket PC phones from Samsung, the device has a sliding keyboard, allowing for a larger display. Finally, is the inclusion of the next version of Windows Pocket PC Phone Edition code-named Crossbow. More details as we get them as this is surely shaping up to be a good start to the year for Verizon Pocket PC enthusiasts.

yeah i saw that article. I was wondering if anyone knew anything more about it. Thanks for responding though. Hopefully the Crossbow won't be buggy as I know I'll be getting it the day it comes out. Windows Mobile...Slingbox baby! Go smash your phone so you can get this samsung when it comes out. Then you'll feel good about breaking your phone AND getting a new kickas* one 😁

Good call, BUT here's the thing. Doesn't look like it doesn't use the new Crossbow ( I could be wrong) and those HTC's are soooo flippin huge! I haven't seen any specs on the Libra, but looks larger than my brick treo 700. Getting sick of the size. Do tell more...

Pantech 820....hmmm. Now I'm sure that doesn't have a touchscreen. I'm just so used to it that I don't think I could go back to point and click again. It's nice that it's small, but I do like the full keyboard as well. It's all personal preference. Geez, I might as well wait for the next treo to come out..I know I'll miss the bugginess, freeze ups, random resets.....
