CustomerServiceScoop.com????

My initial purpose of joining this forum was to check out the latest technologies, share Sprint info with inquiring minds, etc. It seems now all we get is Sprint this, ATT that, customer service horror stories, yada yada. I think most people here just want info. What are the latest phones? Plans? Services? Pricing? Does it work in Anytown, USA? When does this phone come out? Anyone having problems doing whatever? Why bother posting anything about a phone or issue on this Forum that is not even Sprint related! If anyone wants to read about ATT or Verizon or anyone else, I think many people know how to click their way to that forum. Either way. Just my two cents as well. Have a wonderfull weekend everyone!!!!

Why would anyone sign up with Sprint PCS?

Any intelligent person that is, that has done there homework.

Verizon Wireless is the hands down carrier to be with.

#1 in customer service (JD powers & Consumer Reports).

#1 in coverage (same sources)

Sprint PCS repeatedly is at the bottom in both catogories.

Let me know when you figure this one out.

Nokia 6230

Will be way better than Sanyo 4500, I feel sorry for all you Sprint users. I used to have SPCS unless I wised up. Hope all have a blessed day.

Phone updates

Does anybody know how to download the updates for a sanyo 8100 phone without going to the sprint store? My dad said they updates his 4900 by punching a few buttons and it downloaded them from the web without any cables. Any clues?

Phone with best reception ability?

Hi, I've asked this before, but with all of the new phones out I'm wondering what current Sprint phone has the best reception. I'm betting the Nokia or Sanyos... which one(s) specifically though? I need one that will get a good signal in a basement as my Samsung is horrible.

Thanks robbie0517

Because of your clearly fair and balanced opinion, I have decided to cancel my five lines with Sprint and get Verizon. Give me a freggin break. Every person has different opinions about every company. Sprint's CS is its greatest downfall, no doubt, but every company has its fault. That includes Verizon. I can sit hear and name the biggest knocks on each and every carrier. If you want ARGUABLY the best coverage, thats Verizon, If you want the best phones (SANYO), with the most options and features, thats Sprint. That also means the some of Verizons phones are better than Sprint's and there are places where Sprint has service where Verizon doesn't. If it was so obvious that Verizon was the best, then what would the country need with th...

MY Sprint experience

First thing first notice I put MY in caps because this has to do with MY experience. The reason I am stating this is because sometimes when people reply back to posts about someone's experience they fly off the handle and arguments ensue. Anyway here's my take on Sprint:

I had sprint back in 2001-2002. Now they had some pretty good coverage and I rarely (if ever) dropped a call. I was quite happy with them. I left them for At&t for 2 main reasons...
1) Their plans where too much money for too little minutes. (I am not sure how the plans are now but I will check)
2) Their rude ass customer service reps. (Now not all of them are bad. Only a select amount...but I seemed to get stuck with the Assholes when I called 8 out of 10 times).
Thes...

Input of your Sprint experience

Ok. I have T-Mobile right now and am thinking about switching over to Sprint. My biggest concern is over reception. Based on your experience with reception and Sprint, how would you rate it? I'd like to know in general what was good about Sprint and what was bad about it (not including issues w/ your phone).

The thing I like about T-Mobile is internet feature and the text messaging. It's the sms format, and I'm not sure what Sprint is like exactly, but I heard that you have to connect to a network or the internet to get your text messages; and I know I dont want to have to do that.

Sorry if this type of topic has already been discussed, but I have dial up and its seriously slow and i dont have all day to go through all ten pages of thr...

Sprint's customer service - another horror story

i have had really bad experiences with sprint's customer service. please dont argue that some xyz company has worse customer service than sprint. that doesnt make sprint any holier. read on if u feel like hearing somebody crib...

* i have NEVER reached a rep without being on hold forever. and if i'm calling with a grievance, the rep i 1st reach is not able to help me i'm being transferred to another rep - which involes more hold time, and so on and on. more than once, a rep has asked me if she could put me on hold, and before even i could respond no, she put me on hold anyway.
* i always call them using *2 from my cellphone. in my opinion, it is very unfair to charge airtime for talking to customer service. given their average hold time,...

Got Ready Link??

Hey Folks!

Just wondering if anyone in here as the Sanyo 7200 (aka RL2000). I love the way this phone looks (plus it's a Sanyo...oh those Sanyos... 😁 ) So I wanted to know is it worth me leaving At&t for. I had Sprint before but I left because of their CS and prices. I am thinking of coming back "home" to them but I see they are still rolling out new things so I am trying to wait and see what else they have up their sleeves. Another reason I am comtemplating leaving At&t is Sprint's RL service...but is it any good? I am not liking the $15 extra charge just to use it though 😡 I think they should create plans with the RL included like Nextel does with it's plans. Anyway any info would be appreciated...especially from a Sprint rep 😉 ...

Hitachi p300

I am kinda new to the whole Sprint cell phone thing, can anyone tell me how they like the p300? Specifically I was wondering about the RF of the phn in comparison to a Sanyo 4700.

And what about the speakerphone? Is it sufficiently loud and clear?

I am a novice user and was wondering since the phone specs say it operates at 1900 mhz does that mean that it will not pick up an analog signal? 🤭

Thanks,

Mright123 😁

Help! Need Advice

I have been a SPCS customer in San Antonio for 4 years. I am
currently in a 2 year agreement which ends on 2/18/04, according to
the website. I have 2 phones: LG5350 and Samsung 8500. My current
plan is:

500 Anytime Shared Minutes
Unlimited Nights and Weekends 9pm-7am
Unlimited PCS to PCS on both phones
Equipment replacement on both phones
Roadside rescue
No Vision at this time
Approx. $100/month

My wife and I are wanting to both upgrade to the Sanyo VM4500/5500 RL
phones so that we can use the RL, Camera, and Video. Is there any way
that I can get a deal from Sprint so that I do not have to pay full
price on both of these phones? I have contemplated contacting
retention with the threat of switching to Verizon, but I...
