Here is the thing with the 2GB and throttling of data

AT&T is not throttling because of amount of usage, they are throttling speeds with excessive usage in short period of time. Anyone using 2 GB in a month cycle will be fine, however, if you are using up 2GB in 3-4 days then that will put you in the 5% highest usage based on projected usage. That is how it is..you can't abuse the bandwith...I have unlimited and I have a hard time getting to 1 gb..so I have no idea what these people are doing on there phones to be so excessive with usage....I can see AT&T point of view on this..they have to maintain the bandwith..anyone on unlimited can go to tiered pricing and have no issues...so do that..3GB is plenty of data...

I promise you that the people that are being throttled at 2 GB is using that amount in a matter of days..not a billing cycle....people need to know what they are talking about with this policy before knocking it. AT&T are not the only carrier to throttle...Verizon, Tmobile, and sprint even does at 5 GB...so come on...lets talk about all carriers if we are talking about throttling...by the way...5% is not alot of customer base with 17000 being on unlimited...if your in the 5% usage..then you are doing something out of the ordinary... Some people would say you should be limited because you are a data hog using 1GB a month! Eventually enough people will be off unlimited or have left AT&T that you, at 1GB, will be throttled because you will be the top 5%. Sound different when it will be you, not "other" people affected?

nobody is leaving because of this. People arent that stupid to leave at the drop of a hat everytime something bothers them about a companies policy. The grass is not greener on the other side. I assure you.

Loving Verizon LTE unlimited data. I use over 10GB every single month on each of 2 lines. No throttle, no cap. Just unlimited 15-20MB download speeds (faster than Comcast's fastest speed offered in ABQ, NM of 16MB) for $29.99 a month each line minus a corporate discount. If you like 2GB caps and AT&T edzero, more power to you! People will say "well Verizon doesn't offer unlimited anymore". True, but anyone can assume liability (AOL) of anyone with Verizon that has grandfathered unlimited data and would get truly unlimited data if they use a 4G LTE device. These AOL accounts are being auction on Ebay or you may pick up one for free at Howardforums.com. They pop up there from time to time. Well worth the hassle to be on a better/bigg...

10 GB!! what the F do you do on your phone that you use 10 GB a month. You must really have a sad life. To a person that has a life 10 GB sounds like a lot. Wait, thats not fair...you probably watch a lot of movies or listen to a lot of music on your phone. I on the other hand like to be social and do things with my friends.
So when Verizon does start throttling (which Im sure they will) you're really gonna be screwed.

So you and your guy friends spend a lot of time doing "things" with each other? Well I can see how you would be busy doing "things" with each other. I watch Netflix (each movie can be 1GB, hope you dont like trilogies with AT&T and your 2GB), use Tune-in Radio and the Sirius apps a lot. I go on 5 or 6 week long road trips across the nation per year and spend many weekends going to the mountains or down to White Sands, etc. I watch YouTube stuff. Download Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey, Joel Osteen, Mancow, Coast to Coast AM, Mad Money, etc Shows to listen to. I pay bills, buy/sell stocks, monitor Wall Street News, Bloomberg Radio/TV, use Google Voice, Navigation App, Scanner Radio, iHeart Radio App, play Words with Friends, etc. Basically, I actu...

I connect to wifi alot..that is why manufacturer's add ability of wifi is to connect..wifi is everywhere...people that abuse the data usage just don't get that the bandwhith is shared with other customers...shared...so I use wifi when I can...We all have to do our part as consumers to ensure everyone has a good experience with data usage on any cell network...the carriers can only do so much...its not 5 years ago when nobody had smartphones...

The data plans today are not meant to be a primary source of data...I realize that not everyone has access to wifi but you cannot stream youtube or music everyday and all day..that will put anyone in the 5% usage....I just know how to manage how I use my data on the phone...all carriers throttle...keep in mind that att is not yet thottling data for LTE phones..You have a LTE phone with unlimited your good

Maybe to you, but not to me..I stream radio and netflix. in 15 days, that's nothing. There have been people using 10+GB, how is barely hitting 2GB in 15 days astonishing?
