Is it possible they only cancelled the non-HAC 6126 in favor of the 6126h with HAC?

If not, T-Mobile might get the 6133h...

very possible ... according to HoFo insiders, the phone was cancelled due to "hardware issues"

and while there is much room for interpretation, most have speculated that the issue is the screen not having a protective plastic lens on top of the screen. is this the case, Rich or Eric?

with an antenna on the bottom of the phone, i bet it would perform well for people with hearing aids, but i still hope that cingular gets a version of this phone.

It does (unusually) lack a protective layer above the main display. However it seems plenty durable. The ones they put on display at trade shows are generally expected to be abused - I mean tested 😉 - so I had no qualms about testing the durability of the display, and it seemed fine. I'm not sure if it's a type of LCD that is more rigid and durable to begin with, or the polycarbonate layer is simply bonded to the display module itself. Either way, it seemed very durable.

i would it rather not have one due to possibly buttons wearing into the screen, the screen is sunken into the flip a bit so that this does not happen as u may see on V400, V551, V557 and so on

I have a bit of inside info on this one...

The 'hardware' problems are true, and cingy has decided to not release this phone at all...atleast in my market. Since I'm in the southeast I have no idea if this is true of all cingy markets or just my market. At one point my nokia rep came into the store with one, and a 6282, to show them off. Now..in my experience this is not a oddity...I had a motorola rep at one point show off a cingy branded a630, which never came to cingy....

Really wish this phone phone would come out with us though..and the 6282.

Oh well 🙄

Rich, Do you think the "HAC" issue has caused delays on other new phones being introduced?

The Samsung SPH-A720 had a HAC Class II Permissive change on Gulfoss as well, but as we know, the phone was canceled by Sprint a few months back. Samsung even got the phone Bluetooth qualified; not comming.
