Actually, my source at Coca-Cola tells me they expect it to take a few hours. I assume they have an arrangement with Chevy where someone from the local Coke office will just drop by the nearest Chevy dealership and pick one up... or something like that.

What's interesting is that you don't have to stay still - you just have to carry the can with you after you press the button, so they can track you down.

I think the idea is that people can plan someplace special to be when they push the button. Maybe because it's an SUV they'll want people to find some place SUV-ish. Although as you pointed out, since it's a GSM 1900 phone, it can't be too remote. Maybe people will throw a party and push the button then, so all their friends can be on TV. Yes, supposedly they'll have a camera crew and do the whole prize patrol thing.
