🙂 This Phone has stunning looks, mp3 play back not only that but the spinning screen with dual LCD this will truley be the nicest samsung swivel cam phone when it comes out because the ones with the one screen are lame i am a longtime user of samsung and this one is worth the wait..I wonder who will carry it though...hmm....Hopefully T-Mobile 🙄

Yes, this phone is incredible. I've been looking at it since it showed up in the Korean market. The comercial with Korean singer Hyori is a killer. Too bad all the nice phones don't come here and go straight to Europe. I'm guessing you'll have to fork over more than $400 to 3rd party-dealers. Is any mobile phone worth paying that much? Why won't phones like these come to the U.S.? Do they hate us that much? LoL

The phone is CDMA. The full name of the phone is SPH-4400, SPH being for SprintPCS. As long as Sprint aproves it this phone should be out in a while hopefully. I'm sure it'll cost a pretty penny also.

Hate to burst your bubble, but...

"SPH = Sprint" is only true for US models, and even then it's not a hard and fast rule. (Consider the SPH-i700 for Verizon.)

The Korean "SPH" models are only for Korean PCS carriers, and won't work in the US at all. The SPH-4400 is definitely a Korean model that won't work anywhere outside of Korea.

This phone has been designed to work on the CDMA 1XEVDO networks.(See Samsungs website)http://www.samsung.com/CeBIT2004/popu p.htm?src=com&kw=DigitAllCeBITArticle
Verizon Wireless is currently the only major carrier with a 1XEVDO network in San Diego and Washington D.C. Expect this phone to be available when VZW's national roll-out of 1XEVDO is ready later this year. Sprint has annouced that they will skip 1XEVDO and go directly to 1XEVDV sometime 2005. A mega-pixel image will need a broadband connection, so we'll just have to wait for this beauty to come to market when the network for it is ready.

...except the SPH-4400 is a PCS-only phone (1900 MHz), while Verizon is mostly 800 Mhz.

Although that's actually irrelevant, since Korean PCS is not the same frequencies as North American PCS. So in case I wasn't clear before, the SPH-4400 phone will not work in the U.S. at all. It is a Korean phone that will only work in Korea - period.

Now, I'm sure there is a Samsung EV-DO phone somewhere in Verizon's future, and a megapixel model, but don't expect it/them anytime soon. The first EV-DO megapixel phone for Verizon will be the LG VX-8000:

I have not received my v600 yet but should be in by this week. Are you having any problem with yours? The v600 scares me cause of all the talk about the problems with it. I am getting it on T-mobile and everyone is saying you have to set everything up. Is that true and why? 😕
