Sprint Announces Successor to iDEN-Based PTT

....sprint will probably still be making attempts to replace direct connect with something comparable. I remember when readylink's garbage SIP implementation was touted as the successor, and when that sucked, QChat would be the successor...and when that sucked...ugh...

2013 they're biting the bullet and doing what they should have done a long time ago. It will probably still be better than the garbage Verizon keeps trotting out there. Oh my goodness, when I worked there they were always trotting out a PTT refresh and we would be like: "Is it instant like Sprint?"

"Well no, but it's fast..."

Instant tune out. Why sell second rate PTT when one can sell M2M or something? That is an instant fail. That and their suggestions for overcoming iphone objections were always laughable to me.

Is it as bad as Sprint's suggestions for its reps regarding customers asking about other provider's 4g services?

That one was, paraphrased: "We started first, so we're better"
