I'm sorry but that doesn't make sense. If their goal is to sell more hardward than surely providing bad customer service by failing to fix known problems won't exactly inspire people to make their next phone a Samsung. Surely being responsive to customer needs and fixing known problems ASAP is more likely to create customer loyalty.

Maybe you mean only that since their business model isn't based on software that they don't know how to handle software updates, that might be correct. But if you mean that they are intentionally being incompetent as part of a strategy to encourage people to buy more Samsung hardware, as I said I don't think that strategy makes business sense. No company has ever become profitable by deliberately offering shody merchandise and counting on people to 'upgrade' to fix the problems,
