android email sucks.

Quite honestly, the email application on android blows. They just need to start over from the ground up and give it a complete overhaul. Granted, the integrated gmail seems to work fine, but non-integrated email set up is a joke. Exchange support is laughable (on the models it actually works at all on), and often times just trying to get an email account set up is a nightmare where as your more functional mobile OS will set up with ease.

This is just one of the many applications this applies to for the Android OS.

I read your original post and I do agree with some points. I use the samsung vibrant and I love it, but I had to switch to the Nokia E73 because my job required it. The symbian software is open source as well but with this device, setting up email was the easiest thing in the world. I actually use my email alot more now that I'm not using android but the apps on android are still number one (for t-mobile). I need a scientific calculator and I don't have the money to buy one for my astronomy class. I looked in the Ovi store and couldn't find one that was free (or had good reviews) for my Nokia smartphone. But to no avail, I found a free and reliable one on Android.
