This is the problem with apple... All this creepy dialer hijacking isn't simply possible without jailbreaking. I mean, how am I going to write that great game that secretly redirects all calls to a series of 1-900 numbers I own?

I think he is bemoaning the fact that this sort of thing cannot be done on an iphone without jail breaking.

I just cannot believe this. Droid Incredible is looking better and better now.

its seriously a nice app, I'm testing it on my cliq now and having my girl put it on her droid, I just want to get to know how it works so I can sell it to my customers.

Skype works fine on the iPhone though, I don't see why you can't use that.

It's a novelty at best for me. I don't even know anyone outside the U.S. I guess I could go online and search for English speaking Android owners wishing to chat with a boring American geek if I purchased one.

I sense a website coming?

I think this app works kind of like google voice does. It routes calls through local numbers until it hits the web and then goes VOIP till it gets to the other country.

So like you would call the "landline" (the apps number) and that counts as a local call, and then it goes over the internet to thier country, hits a local "landline" (apps number again) and calls their phone, so for both customers it counts as a local number call, and thus no international rates.

It has the advantage over skype in that skype requires data, according to the press release, this one does not.

but if you want to call a landline in another country you do have to pay for the minutes you use. They are cheap, but not free.

Free calling is only available if two people have the App

Yep. but what I'm saying is that the landline ports are what make the phone not require data to use.

I use google voice anyway (most of the people I know are in canada, which is free calling)

I downloaded it today and was chatting with my brothers.

The only 2 things I don't like about TiKL is that it doesnt support Bluetooth (yet, everyone can hear your conversation) and you have to set DND up in order to not get randomly chirped.

Does this need to be installed on both Androids in order for the call to be free?
