Best Buy Sweetens the Deal for Early HTC Evo 4G Buyers
wonderful idea
pay the extra $100 dollars get it back in four weeks and have your phone working the right way
oh and they do this with every phone not big news
and when best buy says go to a corp store for phone book transfer get ready to spend another $18
Mail in rebates are a pain and I applaud any company that can offer low prices without dealing with mail in rebates.

follow the simple written instructions and you wont wait half a year, and let me guess bb gave you the mail in rebate
Straight outta the knowledge base
Customers that upgrade and are only eligible for $75.00 are not eligible for mail-in rebates. The MIRs will be rejected.
Customers are not eligible for mail-in rebate when a device is purchased 1 of the following retail locations because store gives all device discounts instantly.
Best Buy
Office Depot
RadioShack
Sam's Club
Ultimate Electronics
Wal-Mart
Third Parties (Amazon.com, eBay, and so on.)
😛 It takes 10-14 weeks to receive rebate check. 😛
Rebate checks cannot be sent as payment on Sprint account.
When iPCS was bought out one of the agreements we set up was to allow us to still do instant rebates for sometime, no date placed when it will stop.
You are not charged a data transfer fee, when you buy phones through us. If you were, that is incorrect, and you can go get your money refunded.
We have 4 customer promises we operate by, and no mail in rebates, it of course a large one. Again, I am sorry for the frustration, if you need more assistance, please go to www.bestbuymobile.com, and we can get you set up with correct people to talk to.

I also agree that this is *not* news either, Best Buy always offers instant rebates instead of mail ins. You better believe that will always be a big differentiator. BBuy would throw a tantrum if Sprint retail stores could do away with mail in rebates, otherwise why in the world buy from Best Buy?

No matter how much money i save at Radioshack or Best Buy because they are trying to sucker you into there store to buy more stuff. I will not buy a EVO phone from those two places. Sprint rep's know more about those phones then any of those people will ever know!! Radioshack is looking for there commish and dont care about you. And Best Buy will just send you out the door with the phone without any help! So go to the Sprint store and pass on all the rest. You will be much more happier in the long run. 😲
👿 ok we get it you only had to post it once 👿
I agree that sprint store employees may know more than some of the other places but to say they're the know it all experts and try to say the other places only care about their commision is a bit misleading. Don't blame best buy or radio shack, blame sprint for handicapping their own employees with the mail in rebate BS.
Best of both worlds.
On the other hand, I have had nothing but trouble with the carrier store here, they don't seem to care to help me unless I'm buying something big.
Moral of the story is "milage will vary," I'm sure there's tons of good Best Buy's and bad ones as well as carrier stores.
