I went to Best Buy today.

The rep told me that they will not preorder until the end of next week of the next.
This is incorrect. I work for Best Buy, and they started today. I am for the confusion.

No matter how much money i save at Radioshack or Best Buy because they are trying to sucker you into there store to buy more stuff. I will not buy a EVO phone from those two places. Sprint rep's know more about those phones then any of those people wi...

Letter to Best Buy: Why won't you let me pre-order my EVO 4G?

To whom this may concern:

I am thoroughly frustrated with your Auburn-Opelika, Alabama Tiger-Town store. I have been to this location twice in the last 3 days, per your press release, in order to pre-order the EVO 4G. On the first visit the mobile center associate, although nice young man, was uninformed and told me that I could not order the EVO 4G because it would not be available until next week; even with your existing press release stating otherwise. On the second visit there were four very helpful reps, two of which I know personally, they attempted to accept my pre-order when your Auburn-Opelika, Alabama Tiger-Town store's system prompted them to stop what they were doing with a message from District management. Believe you me, thi...

I have an idea!!

How about focusing more on customer satisfaction than useless feuding with other retailers? Instant rebates from Best Buy or Radio Shack isn't news whatsoever. Whatever retail location you work at, you got hired to help people and to meet their needs. Try starting there.
Exactly what I ALWAYS tell my customers when they say "Well Best Buy has..." or "Radio Shack sells it for..."

Well if you go there and try to come back to ome saying the customer service sucked or you want me to transfer your contacts... tough cook...

wonderful idea

i really do hope the majority of people dont go to best buy i dont understand why you would want a monkey setting up your new evo wonderful idea, and on top of it all i have best buy employees (mobile) coming into my store asking what is wrong and how to activate there phones

pay the extra $100 dollars get it back in four weeks and have your phone working the right way

oh and they do this with every phone not big news

and when best buy says go to a corp store for phone book transfer get ready to spend another $18
more like 10-14 weeks for a mail in rebate from the time the form is recieved

I totally agree. People go to the sprint store for phonebook swaps, billing issues and everything else, believe me buying it from a Sprint store is 100% better. And as a Preferred retailer here in IN (owned by Wireless Express) we do instant rebates o...

Um, I don't know what Best Buy you went to but every time I have purchased a phone from there everything is done perfectly fine for me. They always offer to transfer my numbers and I have never had to pay. When I bought my Pre last year the guy set up...

I've bought my entire family's phones from Best Buy and never delt with monkeys. Never been charged anything extra to transfer contacts either.

On the other hand, I have had nothing but trouble with the carrier store here, they don't seem to care ...

Radioshack too

starting Friday the 14th radioshack is taking preorders and they have never had mail in rebates. it will be $199
Only have to put $50 down and you get a much better experience than any Best Buy can give.
I don't know about you, but the Radioshacks in my area look like they could go out of business any second. They carry nothing but the worst electronics on the planet. I chose Best Buy for my preorder. They made me put down a deposit of $50, but they g...

THE BEST BUY........

FIRST OF ALL DONT LET THE PEOPLE THAT ARE DOWN TALKING BEST BUY SCARE YOU FROM GOING TO THEM. NOW OBVIOUSLY THERE ARE SOME STORES WHERE PEOPLE ARENT GOING TO DO THERE JOB THE PROPER WAY, THAT IS ANY WHERE THAT YOU GO, HOW EVER WHY WOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER GOING TO THE SPRINT STORE WHEN YOU CAN PAY BARE MINIMUM FOR THE PHONE?? BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX!! GET YOUR E-MAIL SET UP, HAVE YOUR CONTACTS TRANSFERED FROM YOUR OLD PHONE FOR *FREE* AND OTHER ITEMS THAT YOU MIGHT NEED FOR A CHEAPER PRICE??? I WORK FOR A BEST BUY AND IM TIRED OF POEPLE( SPRINT REPS) DOWN TALKING OUR STORES!! WE DONT CHEAT OR SUCKER CUSTOMERS BECAUSE WE HAVE A QUOTA TO MAKE........... 😁
I am fairly sure Best Buy just lost customers because of how idiotic your post was. LETS ALL TALK IN CAPS AND USE POOR GRAMMAR, YAYAAAARR. Welcome to the intelligence of a best buy employee.

Thank you for this post. I am not sure why the Sprint reps are on here down talking Best Buy. My experience with purchasing a phone has always been superb and I have always saved money with you guys. There is no reason to uprade a phone at a Sprint st...

Can't Wait!!!

Pre-Ordered mine today @ Best Buy. 😁 Your best bet is to get one there. A Radio Shack manager told me they 7 units on order, BBY had 50 per store.
Can't wait either BigLou. I just want that HUGE gorgeous screen in my hand NOW!!

$50 gift card

Not sure if BB's pre-order policy has been posted or not, but I pre-ordered my EVO yesterday at Best Buy. They charged me $50 for a deposit, then gave me back a $50 gc which you will then turn back into them on June 4th to go against the $199 price. They said they guarantee an Evo for you on June 4th if you do this. I have friends that went to different BB locations and they said the procedure was the same....however they had to make appointments with BB to come pick them up. Weird if you ask me.... 😎
I just preordered mine at radioshack. Same deal with the $50 gift card. But no appointment is really needed they said so long as you pick it up on the 4th or 5th. Also radioshack will let you buy it at full price, bestbuy won't. Radioshack also threw ...

This is not news!

Best Buy along with Sams Club wireless always have instant rebates. I assume Best Buy is buying ad space on Phone Scoop?
And I assume you are another bitter phone scoop poster...but thanks for your worthless insight
...
We have not bought ad space on here, we just want to make sure our customers have the best possible experience.
