FCC Mulling 'Bill Shock' Warning System

More importantly, this isn't the government getting further involved in our lives. This would be a valid form of regulation over the telecom industry.
We all understand how the billing system works. But you'd be amazed at the number of people that end up with large bills and don't know where they come from. I'm just thankful that Sprint caps data charges at $75.00, which prevents some of the insanity. That doesn't help with the 75 year old lady that decided to use her cell phone instead of her home phone, and didn't understand that she was billed per minutes like she has with a home phone. It happens- and a simple text message to warn someone isn't too difficult to put in place.
