Just make the obvious case here and forget the rest of your rant.

Dude

Phones is an interesting word to use. I would say PHONE. The only phone ever really advertised is the iPhone and that is the sole reason for AT&T's continued success in net adds. AT&T added 2 million subscribers, most of which were iPhone users.

As for faster 3G... maybe in a few spots. Just read all of the national reviews and studies and you will see that the consistency of the networks' speeds does not favor AT&T.

What coverage map are your talking about? AT&T has the ability to be used in Europe... woohoo. So can my Storm2. Anyway, how many times are you jet-setting to Rome this year?

I would like to see you show me a map for where their plans cover outside the U.S. That is the real story here. There are none. They will roam on someone else's network outside the U.S. just like VZW can. CDMA is in over 200 countries around the world so even a simple VZW flip phone can work in those countries.

As for sales reps getting a pay cut for lack of sales you need to know the facts. Noone got a pay cut. Sales goals may be higher and commissions may be more difficult to attain but noone has lost guaranteed money. Any business that wants to make more money will take steps to increase profits. A natural change is to payroll.

So with all of your ranting about VZW losing customers and about network speed it all comes down to one fact: People are choosing the cool phone over the size and dependability of their network.
