webOS 1.2 causes battery drain
Myself as well as quite a few others are experiencing battery drain, my battery drains without using any apps. Since I updated this afternoon, my phone has died twice. This is a major problem, Palm needs to fix this NOW!!!

Yeah, I woke up this morning to a dead battery. This has not happened prior to the 1.2 update.

My theory is this, most of us have auto backup enabled on our Pre's. Mine usually runs overnight. Seeing the Palm servers were overloaded yesterday with update requests, maybe the auto backup kept trying to connect and could not, thus draining the battery faster than usual.
Anyway, I shut down my phone, did a battery pull, and then restarted it. Then I did a manual backup. Now the battery behaves like it use to before the update.
