"Only on the iPhone..."

Who else is sick of these silly commercials about all the wonderful apps for the iPhone. My Blackberry Curve blows the iPhone out of the water! My friend switched from the Curve to the iPhone and he misses his Curve...(heh, heh, heh!)

There are so many apps for just about every smartphone. People just need to know where to look.

i'm not trying to play a fanboy or favor one side nor the other. I'm just curious, how does your curve blow the iPhone out of the water? I'd understand the no video capture, no flash on the camera, no MMS support, no turn by turn GPS directions. But what else blows it out of the water?

My curve actually took a gun and blew an iPhone out of the water...lol.

no, the iPhone is very very buggy with many issues, so I don't like it. I don't exactly hate it, but I don't want one. I am just sick of those commercials and they play them on TV every hour, so that's why I've gone back to watching my sitcoms on DVD collection. No crazy iphone apps commercial!!

i understand. i have rarely seen any buggy issues at all. and if i do its a one time situation and it doesn't happen again. i've had more bugs with my bold actually. LED won't stop flashing without a hard reset. I can't 'click' on the sms/mms icon (i had to use my soft key on the right side of the phone). It was kind of annoying. But to each his/her own.

the commercials can get annoying but apple just wants to get paid like everyone else. i normally just change the channel

I have both an iPhone and my curve. iPhone applications are a lot more full featured and advanced compared to anything you find on a BlackBerry. You will be hard pressed to find ANYONE who has fully experienced both that will agree with BB having better or equal apps.

Now, you can argue no MMS, no video recording, no copy and paste. But Applications are clearly where iPhone kills everyone else.

No arguments there. For me, the BB has the apps I need: Docs to Go, AIM, Weather Bug, Opera Mini, Facebook, Google Maps, gmail, google mobile, Viigo, and a whole host of other apps.

My biggest complaint with the iPhone is that you can not remove the battery, so if your battery craps out, you hav...

i understand the battery problem is an issue for many people. But in all 11-12 phones i've owned in the past 5 years i've NEVER once had an issue with a battery crapping out. Maybe i'm lucky or whatever. but i just dont see that being a big issue.

and actually i think that batteries that are actually built into a device offer longer usage(hence the macbook pro that has a much longer battery life than any other laptops...or so apple says). but i could be wrong on that, it just makes sense to me.

Wow!!! That's a bold move from Yahoo to be focusing on just the iPhone. So I guess, that's where the money is for them.

I read in the Red Eye that a lot of people are cashing on designing apps for the iPhone. It's a huge market. I bought a couple of apps for my BB, mainly the full version of Docs to Go, which I freakin' love. I literally turned my BB into a mini laptop!
