No Delay

When February 17 arrives, my television will no longer pick up analog and I have no converter box. Nor do I want one. That's not going to change in three months. I see no reason to delay.

And there will be plenty of people that, no matter how long you delay, will not go and get the converter box until their TVs stop working. I say this is a band-aid we need to just rip off. It'll be uncomfortable for a bit, and a few months from now we won't remember what happened.

That's exactly right. There are just some people that do not like change and those same people are the ones who still don't have cable, satellite, or digital converters yet. The senator, for none other than West Virginia, where there are bound to be people who are slow to adapt to change, is only asking for the delay, not because they don't have the money, but because the people of his state are too lazy to get up and go to the store and buy one.
