you don't need cable or satillite but these boxes, even without the vouchers, are sub $100. If you really cannot budget for that, then go without TV for a couple of months until you can. Heck, they've had YEARS to save the money if they really needed it.

So no, not everyone has to pay for their TV service. But they've had plenty of time to make the switch over if they don't want sat or Cable. So that is why I am saying delaying it anymore because people were lazy is not a valid reason. TV is not a right, it is a luxury item. Heck, I don't even have TV at my house because of the prices in the area. I'll lose my "basic" service when the switch goes over. I already have a box so it's a non-issue. This is not some "sudden" transition, so it people are still not prepared it is because they've chosen to be unprepared.
