Because both Verizon and Alltel operate their own networks in the Albuquerque market, I am guessing that Albuquerque, New Mexico is one of the affected markets.

Also, does anyone know if the Verizon network is being divested, or is the Alltel network being divested? Verizon has a much larger user base in Albuquerque than Alltel, being the largest carrier here. I would guess that the Alltel network is being divested.

As for Albuquerque; we don't know yet. We know there will be areas that Verizon will be forced to give up, that they're not willing to give up voluntarily. ...
