i was not aware that google owned a fiber optic network.
one thing i do know is that sprint does not use any of googles fiber optics

yes you are correct sprint is having major back hall issues. wimax was to be released last year but it had to be delayed due to the fac that there was no available infrastructure to Handel it.
right now sprint is the only company deploying this type of network and they are having problems. it will only be that much worse when 3 or more other companies attempt to do ti at the same time.
