So you've seen an unlocked version withe OBEX? or do you just say it is blocked because it "obviously" has to be since it's not there.
And I agree that the UI can be frustrating, but I can find at least one customer who loves the fact that they can switch from phones quickly for every person like you or I who wish they would just give the developers free reign with the UI (or at least allow you to get a different UI if you buy the phone retail)
But just because a verzion phone doesnt have a feature doesn't mean it's blocked. Yes, verizon could request a chip not be put in, but if the chips were actually on the device, you would see multiple ways to "hack" them.
