looks like its a great add to verizon. Maine I believe was hardly covered and now its completely covered!

Looking at the map, it looks like the only state that might involve a divesture is Vermont. Otherwise, both carriers have no overlap, except for any areas that Verizon is PCS only. Unicel has the A side for all of Vermont, while Verizon has the B side for northern & central Vermont.
As for keeping a GSM network up; I find that ironic that they would keep GSM up. I doubt AT&T would want to keep any roaming agreements in areas that Verizon's acquiring. T-Mobile, maybe, but I can't see AT&T keeping the roaming agreements in place. I won't be su...
