If i had to pick from those 2 phones (the z9 or the shine) I'd definitely go with the z9. LG makes good phones but if you go to the store and look very closely at the build quality of the phone, it's less than impressive. Also, if you have the opportunity to hold both, you'll find that the Motorola simply "feels" better in your hand. it feels sturdier.
but it all comes down to what you're looking for in a phone. If you're look at those 2 phones because you're ready for an upgrade, great you get a discount. but if you're going to outright buy the phones, there and hundreds of options ...
