Verizon Asks Vodafone To Sell Back Stake
Replying to: What will this mean for Verizon? by natemc
1. if verizon were to buy out vodafone's stake they would obviously have to make up for the hefty $50+B price tag which means probably that customers would have to pay more for their services to make up.
2 however, on the other hand, since there might be some synergies, al though not a lot, one can think to try to under cut the new T merger, they would try to under price against them, but i dont think they have a shot at that.
so; so its difficult to tell whether or not the prices will go up or down becuase as mentioned before they need to spend a fortune for vodafone's stake and number 2 T is a lot better then verizon and to undercut them might be impossible with T's network.
its too difficult so lets just see when/if it happens then we can discuss further implications.
