AAC is primarily used by Apple, they chose to go with CINGULAR. That's why VZW went with WMA. At the time that i tunes launched they didn't have all those LEGAL tracks. They didn't even have the half million that VZW is going to offer LEGALLY.

As far as AUDIO quality, there isn't a PHONE out tht has HI QUALITY speakers from bose, HARMON KHARDON or anyone like that. IT"s a PHONE. AND even if there WAS a phone with HIGH end speakers built into it CHEAPSKATES would complain about the price of the PHONE! LOL!!! Laughing And if you don't want to lose the AUDIO quality of the file, you duplicat your original file and convert only 1 to the WMA to use it with the new service.... OH the trauma of extra effort!!!

The $1.99 gives you 2 copies, different quality levels, so not to burn your PHONE's memory on just a few songs. Ampd ? PLEASE. They only have 1 phone, and it's made by KYOCERA! and you're complaining about limited choices? LOL!!!!!
