I was with the Itunes when people made Shocked and said "I have to PAY for the music? Evil or Very Mad
I'd rather use my Kazaa/eDonkey" etc

You watch, in a month you'll be like: "I should try it out, just for this one song I like..." Very Happy

I think you're in fo' a rude suprise, KV. Sad

iTunes had the advantage of its competition at launch time being mostly P2P pirates. The music companies sued the crap out of 'em, spammed 'em up with lots of phony tracks, shut down the original Napster, an' generally made themselves a royal pain in the ass. Plus there was the fact that a lot of people were (suprisingly) honest an' actually DID want to pay for music.

None of that translates to VCast Music. It has a very real chance of either failing or subsisting at a 'so what' level of sales, an' I think the decision to go WMA-only was not a bright one.

It is also not priced well.. its $1.99 over-the-air downloads are twice what Amp'd is asking for OTA, for example. Though Sprint is priced even worse, it must be said.
