This is a counterpoint argument from actual experts in their fields that contradict what some people keep claiming on this forum. Enjoy the read.
Sound like anyone we now? Lol
There's no doubt you're talking about me. But the author was talking about you. He supports my position for the most part. Or did you fail to notice that?
Don't worry, I've showed you many of the supporting comments in a separate post. We could always discuss them rationally, though I have my doubts you will allow that. If you even respond at all, it will likely be to either insult me or put some words in my mouth so you can argue with those instead of my actual points. But here's your opportunity to prove me wrong.
Hasn't this been my argument all along? You barged into a post I made about AT&T regaining too much power(especially in regards to controlling the web traffic), and turned it into a political debate.
I don't entirely like the governement and I certainly hate politics. I just want regulations imposed on carriers that misuse the power. It's getting worse. I have no doubt in my mind that with free will, these carriers will push it to the extreme. Consuming what could be less and less of competitive ch...

1ST I didn't "barge in" on anything. If you don't want oppositional discourse the only sure fire way for that to happen is to not post anything. Sorry if your arrogance leads you to believe that anyone who disagrees is 'barging in'. You were not on the crapper in your house. You are posting on a forum.
2nd This is now and always has been a political debate. Just because you don't like politics doesn't change the political nature of this subject. You said in a previous post that you supported Obama's proposals to turn the Net into a utility. That is political. Yes you decried ATTs power, but you also support government intervention to stop internet 'fast lanes' which is already how the internet is currently set up according t...

The article you linked to supports that position as well, or did you fail to understand what you read once again?
>>but you also support government intervention to stop internet 'fast lanes' which is already how the internet is currently set up according to the experts in the article.
That's quite different from your previous stance that the internet is currently neutral. Care to publicly denounce that stance now? Or are you just going to pretend you didn't insist over and over again that the internet was neutral?
Furthermore, you have failed to appreciate the difference between the CDN's mentioned in the article and fast lanes f...

>>the real issue is that such a small number of internet service providers now control the pipes that reach out to U.S. consumers—and that number is getting even smaller, with Comcast looking to acquire Time Warner, one of its biggest rivals.

I like how you left the many points in that article that proved you were full of crap.
Quit with the insults and making assumptions about me. This is what got you into trouble in the first place.
>>I like how you left the many points in that article that proved you were full of crap.
What do you want from me? Commentary on the entire article? You first.
Or heck, even raise some objections as to how the quotes I listed from the article actually DON'T support my position. Or list the quotes that support YOUR position. That is how rational discourse works. But just saying I'm full of crap and offering no real rebuttal is NOT rational discourse.
But since you won't participate in rational discourse does that mean you're admitting you'...
