Two Experts Say 'Everyone is getting it wrong'.

Th guy who coined the term 'Net Neutrality' and a guy whose job it is to track how the internet's infrastructure work say that the Net Neutrality argument is wrong.

This is a counterpoint argument from actual experts in their fields that contradict what some people keep claiming on this forum. Enjoy the read.
“The net neutrality debate has got many facets to it, and most of the points of the debate are artificial, distracting, and based on an incorrect mental model on how the internet works,” says Dave Taht, a developer of open-source networking softwa...

Go ahead T-bone

And explain to us how AT&T's customers are at fault and how it's a good thing that AT&T wants to kill net neutrality and how the government should just stay out of it and let AT&T continue its monopolistic market abusing practices.
It's because our government is ran by big corporations. They "donate" or bribe politicians to vote in their favor on laws. AT&T and Verizon are both against net neutrality. Why wouldn't AT&T build out their network either way? Right now net neutra...

You seem to be on both sides of the issue at the same time.
You also seem to have a misunderstanding about net neutrality yourself. Att/Vzw and ISPs do not want to charge customers more for 'fast lanes'. They want to charge companies like Hulu and Ne...

So I read the OPED by TED CRUZ and....

Ted Cruz is being an alarmist idiot.

Here is what Ted Cruz said about net neutrality:

--------------------------------------------- -------------------------------
"And one of the biggest regulatory threats to the Internet is “net neutrality.”

In short, net neutrality is Obamacare for the Internet. It would put the government in charge of determining Internet pricing, terms of service and what types of products and services can be delivered, leading to fewer choices, fewer opportunities and higher prices."
--------------------------------------------- --------------------------------

Now leading up to this he said a lot of good stuff about internet taxes and ICANN and preventing foreign powers from controlling the internet. T...

I really don't know why they took down your response to me or my response to you. But I wasn't the one who complained about it. I never do that sort of thing in any type of debate or dialogue.

It's All Becomes Clear...

...of what the motives of the carriers are when the binky gets taken away.

Does anyone ever wonder why AT&T is always the most vocal when it can't have its way? There is no way a carrier should be so disgruntled to the point that it would sacrifice expanding its network capabilities at the expense of its customers just because it can't have control over everything. This carrier should've been regulated years ago when it started regrouping itself.

People complain that government shouldn't get involved? This is what happens when it doesn't. A monster has been resurrected due to lack of essential guidelines and proper monitoring. Did government mess up? Yes. By not getting involved sooner.

This is going to be the 80's all over again soon.. AT&T is doing it to themselves.

I cannot believe that they were allowed to even get back together in such a large fashion to begin with. This is what was broke up almost 40 yrs ago, just for our p...
