Hope the little b*****ds goto jail and have to pay Apple restitution for the devices they maliciously damaged.

saw it yesterday at teh very leat theyll be charged for the replacement of the device plus something on top for destroying store property, i just dont get how they let it happen every time i go to an apple store theres employess everywhere

Then obviously (by your logic) we should be building bridges out of porcelain, because cement will crack under enough pressure too. So, (by your logic) porcelain is just as good as concrete.

Yes. But, how easily it can bend, break or come apart under seemingly normal use, is quite different.
For the sake of argument, many people put their phones in their front and rear pockets. Common sense would say this isn't entirely a great idea. However, nonetheless, it is a trend many people follow. A manufacturer should also use common sense to realize this. It is part of research and development.
Example: A user puts the phone in their front pocket. As they begin to sit, the bulk of the phone manages to alert the user by the user feeling the pressure. "Oh, I have to remove my phone." They remove it and save the device. The pressure exerted is immediately stopped at this point. With the iphone6plus, by the time the customer realize...
