BlackBerry 'Outraged' Over T-Mobile Promotion
They can't be serious lol.
Now I'm pro Blackberry, but I'm also pro longevity. Blackberry has to do something to grab customers, NEW customers and they are not doing that. I don't blame T-Mobile for trying to make more money, and grab new people. Blackberry needs to just release some great devices, at great prices. Don't worry about what everyone else is saying at this point, because they are way behind right now.

Hey Blackberry, how bout you shut up, and concentrate on ACTUALLY bringing some smartphones to market, so that your few remaining loyal customers have some nice, new 2014 models to choose from.
This guy has way, way too much work to do to get cought up on the past 3-4yrs to be making comments about anything other than what new smartphones he will be delivering to market in 2014.

I kind of doubt it is legal, I also doubt that T-Mobile is doing this on its own without any pressure from Google. If T-Mobile wants to cut its ties with Blackberry and not renew their contract with Blackberry that is one thing, but to actively come out and tell Blackberry users that they should switch to Android, which let's be honest, is what they mean....and to do this while T-Mobile is still legally and contractually bound to Blackberry as a marketing partner....it makes no sense.....don't renew your contract fine, but actively discouraging people from buying a product that T-Mobile is still contractually bound to sell? And indeed, while Blackberry is still PAYING THEM to push Blackberry products? And they do the exact opposite?

No, Blackberry needs to do more than 'just release great new devices'......
The fact of the matter is that it is becoming increasingly clear that at least part of the reason why Blackberry has fallen in the last few years is anti-competitive behavior by Apple and Google, who are trying to restrict Blackberry phones and prevent them from being sold to customers....
I think that there are some serious anti-trust violations being committed by both Apple and Google, and that Blackberry is being hurt by it...
They need to do more than simply produce great devices, they need to level the playing field by fighting back against the underhanded tactics of their competitors, and that means protesting moves like this by T-Mobile, which are alm...

You don't think its because Blackberry hasn't been able to keep up with the curve? They have a small percentage of the apps that the other 3 companies have. they just released a phone 1 year ago that however revolutionary for Blackberry was ancient history. They were 3 years too late and cannot keep up.

Yeah the company was run HORRIBLY for a long time there. I think you can only blame the board of directors (and whoever's money backed the majority of shares in question) for that.
After sabotaging the company at exactly the right time for Windows phone to make its debut (oh ho?), those big money backers disappeared and blackberry was free to see if they could get back on their feet.
A lot of people (especially in foreign markets) are wise to the fact that Google is an information company (spy agency) and, is an information brokerage no matter which way you cut it. Having a private intelligence agency provide your company's communications infrastructure is insanity. They also don't trust Iphone and Windows in the same way that they tr...

You do know that in many countries the governments have complete access to the blackberry servers. I would rather have Google an ad agency have my information than the US government. Or some foreign government.

I'm pretty sure that any country that has access to blackberry's servers has access to Google's as well. So, as far as security goes you're probably still better off with Blackberry, not that that should be very reassuring or anything.
