Not much better than the rest.

The company that finances the phone HTC, charges a 29.99% APR, with no interest for 6 months. So if you pay the minimum payment of $33 a month (approximate amount will vary) you end up paying almost $800.

From the HTC site:

FINANCING DISCLOSURES: 0.0% APR, $25 per month for 24 months, and no required down payment for well-qualified applicants only, subject to credit approval. Other applicants may receive different financing terms or offers based on creditworthiness. Financing is for a Fortiva line of credit issued by Mid America Bank & Trust Company.

Well, their credit rating is messed up then LOL. I don't have excellent credit, but offer me a 30% apr on a $600 credit line is just nuts.

I understand for whatever reason why people don't wish to pay a device off in 6 months, yes 12 or 18 months would have been far better and seems to becoming an industry standard on direct buys from phone makers. But otherwise, if I wanted an HTC device, the 6 month deal would make it attractive. I happen to want HTC to continue being a player, and if this helps, so much the better.
