HTC Offering Its Own Payment Plan for HTC One

Not much better than the rest.

The company that finances the phone HTC, charges a 29.99% APR, with no interest for 6 months. So if you pay the minimum payment of $33 a month (approximate amount will vary) you end up paying almost $800.
From the HTC site:

FINANCING DISCLOSURES: 0.0% APR, $25 per month for 24 months, and no required down payment for well-qualified applicants only, subject to credit approval. Other applicants may receive different financing terms or offers based on ...

HTC doesn't realize that they introduced this "offer" way too late.
Think about it, even now its specs are no longer top notch. People that sign up for this now are going to be in tears when they're still paying for the One when the Three is out.
I'd rather stick to my two year contract and complain to my carrier half way through my contract until they give me an early upgrade or do a "next", "jump" type program.
Ugh poor idiots at HTC. I got my G2 for about 40 bucks.
