Received i730, Let me know if you need any info/specs
Here's an excerpt from the manual:
Bluetooth Modes
Your i730 supports the following profile services:
* SDAP (Service Discovery Application Profile)
* FTP (File Transfer profile)
* GAP (Generic Access profile)
* HFP (Hands Free profile)
* HSP (Headset profile - Note: stereo headset profile not
supported)
* HID (Human Interface Device Profile - Bluetooth keyboard only)
* OBEX (Object Exchange profile)
* OPP (Object Push profile)
* SPP (Serial Port profile)
* ActiveSync (Uses SPP to connect to ActiveSync on a computer)
Anyone know what GAP is?
Actually,
Generic Access Profile (GAP)
GAP defines how two Bluetooth units discover and establish a connection with each other. GAP handles discovery and establishment between units that are unconnected. The profile defines operations that are generic and can be used by profiles referring to GAP and by devices implementing multiple profiles. GAP ensures that any two Bluetooth units, regardless of manufacturer and application, can exchange information via Bluetooth in order to discover what type of applications the units support. Bluetooth units not conforming to any other Bluetooth profile must conform to GAP to ensure basic interoperability and co-existence. It also handles security.
Bluetooth OBEX FTP
You can use the OBEX FTP application provided with your i730 to exchange data with other devices with Bluetooth wireless technology as the transport layer. The OBEX FTP application has both a server and client component.
I don't have a computer with bluetooth where I am right now, so I can't check what it has available that way, but I do remember there being more than just one thing under OBEX.
I will check it out later in the week and get back to you.
