Sprint Charging $10 Fee to Nextel Subs Who Don't Upgrade
Replying to: Why Stop At $10? by Jarahawk
You see, from a business prospective; a subscriber will pay the $10 MRC although NOT happy about it this would encourage them to migrate to CDMA sevices. As the point of any fee is to encourage desired behaviors much like a shock collar or an electric fence and fir the die hard hold outs we get their standard MRCs PLUS the $10 iDen charge until the iDen networkbis powered down and the spectrum has been repurposed.
But if we were to charge $50, that would cause an immediate acute emotional reaction and cause the subscriber to act irrationally and potentially port out or cancel their BAN and supporting subscription and although they would pay this the 1st month's invoice with the $50 charge we would not get the subsequent months revenue until the iDen power down and this would stimilate a negative churn.
But hey your ambition is duly noted.. please fill out an application online at www.sprint.com/careers because I just like the way you think! Youre a real self starterl go getter!
