I may not know much, but as a customer I am very loyal to Verizon. They have always treated me well, and when I call I never wait on hold for more than 3 min max. They also take care of my problems and make me feel valued as a customer. They have the best network hands down of all of the major carriers. All of the above I did not receive while with Cingular, and I have now been with Verizon for 2 years. Just some of my thoughts.

It would vary between 10 and 15 minutes per call. It also depended on the time of day that I called, but on average the wait was at least that long. The longest I have waited for Verizon customer service is 5 minutes.

i remember having cingular/att wireless seperately and jointly and still have 5-10 mins of wait time. i was like come on!!!! it doesnt take this long to answer a question. or maybe they arent capable enough or maybe not capable maybe the right word to use is not trained enough.

You say the hold time was like 10 - 15 mins, but were you calling mid-day when one of the largest carrier was busy??? That does, have an effect on it. And yes Verizon has had hold times like 10 - 15 mins also!! Crazyness!!! Calling mid-day and getting a hold time!! You may as well have been at work, and in a hurry, and disputing legit charges on your invoice too!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but does not Verizon have 45 million customers? That is quite a few, and yes..I have called in the middle of the day for various reasons. It seems as if someone is getting a little fired up about a phone scoop post...that to me is craziness!! 😁

I can't speak for anyone else, but my experiences as a Verizon customer mirror your own... I've never waited longer than 5 minutes for a Verizon CS rep on the phone, even during mid-day calls. And they were always courteous and professional when they got to me.

I had pretty good hold times w/ verizon, but it was some of the policies that burned me, had canceled serv mid cycle on 600 min plan and had used 500min, they prorated my min, so they said I was only allowed 300 for the month since I didn't have the serv full month, I asked to be charged full Rate Plan price and get the full min instead of being charged for 200min of overage, talked w/ Sup and they still wouldn't do it, don't know if this is still there Policy to prorate min like that or not, but ooooh that made me dislike the company a little bit

if my memory serves correctly i would be either calling early in the morning or late at night. so it wasnt during peak hour times.
belive me cingular and att wireless' billing and customer care is terrible just like the complaints said.
that was just my experience.
