What makes these idiots think that you HAVE to be stuck on one carrier? It's not unheard of these days to have a phone from more than one carrier. In fact in some areas it's a pretty wise choice.
The double hinge is a pretty pimptastic innovation, especially if there's some sort of qwerty keyboard layout involved. I also LOVE the fact that Moto's embracing the color black for their products. I've long thought that black is much nicer looking than silver for electronics. It's much more sophisticated and less cheap-looking.
But my big question is when are we going to stop hearing about ANNOUNCMENTS of sweet Moto phones and actually see them hit the market? A630 anyone?

go anywhere outside of united states...use your phone as a modem with a bluetooth link(which is very much possible with motorola phones, contrary to belief of even the people who work at cingular)

Is it too much to ask for Motorola to just come back out with the MicroTac 550? I'll even carry around a Commodore 64 with QLink for text messaging and a polaroid camera to take pictures! Heck - They can even give it a new color screen!
