HTC Cedes Korea To Koreans
Local pride
I shouldn't have been surprised, but it reminded me of how almost no one here will chastise you for not carrying a Motorola.
With most things though, it's all imports, so we don't have much choice... And I'm not going to pick a subpar product just because it's "American."
Side note: our auto manufacturers are run by union brats who get paid twice as much as I do and regularly threaten to stop working because they don't get paid enough. No way would I buy a POS car I don't want to subsidize them.

No, you're an Apple fan-boi, and Americans are loyal across certain demographics--go to the west coast, where there's a large non-white demographic, and you'll see that foreign car makes are much more popular. Go to the mid-west, Texas, Idaho, etc...and you'll see that American makes are far more popular.
