I just rented an ecomony car from Hertz and they gave me a Fiat 500. You want to talk POS. With only 2K miles on it, it had some awful sounding engine noises, foul burning smells, horrible NVH & the suspension was very wobbly over bumps & in turns. I actually took it back to get something else and they gave me a Ford Fiesta. Felt like a Mercedes-Benz in comparison. Very quiet, no smells & good NVH and that with 30K miles on it. I have been renting cars bi-monthly or monthly for the last 7 years and owned over 40 (both foreign & domestic). Also have driven over 1 million miles so have a fair idea of what constitutes a "quality automobile". No way I think anyone should buy a piece of trash Italian car & spend $6000 more over an American Fiesta just to not support "union brats". Very poor choice. I'd say just buy what's best. Felt kinda proud to be an American that we have all these choices. Seems South Korea is closed-minded. Feel sorry for them.
