I own both a Sprint TV and a Cingular Video phone (since I recently worked for Sprint and now work for Cingular). On Cingular, you have to buy an unlimited Data plan (minimum $19.99) to have access to a limited set of content (ESPN News, Comedy Central, CNN, a few other channels) which offers clips of anywhere from 20 sec to 4 minutes. To actually get Live TV (included in Sprint's $25 Power Vision pack) you have to purchase the MobiTV application and service for yet another $9.99 per month. Overall, I have access to twice the content on Sprint for a few bucks less. The content is not necessarily specifically what I want, but I don't see Cingular offering streaming satellite radio or Live TV channels on their service.

That being said, I find EVDO to be less reliable than HSDPA as far as connectivity and reliability. Streaming video shoots into "buffering" about every 25 seconds on all three Sprint EVDO phones that I have owned, and the video is somewhat choppy like Satellite TV during a bad storm. My Cingular phones will buffer just once (sometimes twice if reception is 2-3 bars or less amd I watch for 10 min. or more) and I NEVER experience poor video quality or choppiness. I find this interesting because Sprint has twice the number of EVDO towers in the Salt Lake market as Cingular does HSDPA towers, but for some reason, they can't seem to provide quality service... that may be why Cingular costs a few bucks more, who knows...
