Verizon Wireless Sued Over V710 Bluetooth Limitations

While I think Verizon will win this suit hands down, its pretty simple to see why people are upset. As a consumer, you should read the fine print, but let's be honest, when you hear something has a feature that you want, you get excited. Verizon customers were particularly excited as this was the first BT phone for their carrier. While Verizon did nothing illegal, it generally a poor business practice to cripple your products and strategically not mention it to client. If I were to conduct research for a client, and not mention that i will not be providing them with a report . . . Well, you can see where that's going.

b) Verizon did "mislead" people who they knew weren't going to fully check out the details.
