Kirtland & Packard Has Got Nothing

They have absolutely no evidence. What are they going to say? Your honor, it's VZWs fault for not realizing that people assume.

People get upset when their lack of knowledge or assumptions slaps 'em in the face. Just realize and be happy that VZW made most people smarter consumers--> next time you read "connects to your pc or pda," you will QUESTION "to do what?" Next time you see a product w/ a special feature you might research that special feature untill you fully understand all of its parameters.

But back to the point, Kirtland & Packard have no evidence; they will get an "A" for effort.

Are you dumb or blind? It says on VZW's website the phone can hook up to your computer. That's false advertising... deceptive at the very least.

VZW deserves to be sued. They are cooks, plain and simple, and they exist solely to screw people out of their hard-earned money.

Do you know what the most common usage of BT is? File transfer / syncing. Do you honestly mean to tell me that advertising bluetooth and then disabling this feature isn't going to create frustration, when just about every other carrier has bluetooth enabled on their cell phones for this reason?

Stop BSing, moron.

Disabling it on a cheap phone, while still horrific, is a little more excusable, since the LG-325's purpose was clearly to be more of a 'showoff' phone anyway.

Sprint also doesn't do a full lockout of the phone ala VZW.

Not justifying Sprint's actions, but VZW is clearly the worst. On a high-end phone clearly intended for business users, they disabled a function many were counting on so they could screw the customer yet again. (unless you think 'Get It Now' exists because people love it so much.)

OOOOOOOOOh thats one huge statistic. Gee golly you must have a million kagillion coworkers. If thats the case then your statistic totally proves your point. Riiiiiiight. Statistically BT headsets by far are the most common usage for bluetooth. How many PC bluetooth adapters do you see advertised vs. BT headsets? You guys have to realize that bluetooth still is not widely recognized yet. Go on the streets and ask the average person what bluetooth is. Theyll tell you its from drinking blue KoolAid. I mean on the Razr v3 commercial (the one where the phone is open and heading down and slicing words in half then sticks into the ground) bluetooth was mentioned for a split second while the rest of the commercial talked about its camera and its st...

Which profiles does Verizon Wireless currently support?
Verizon Wireless currently supports three Bluetooth profiles:
· Headset - for connecting Bluetooth headsets

· Hands-Free - for connecting hands-free car kits

· Dial-up Networking (DUN) - to allow the handset to be used as a modem

How is this false advertising?? it states you can connect to a PC to use as a modem

They are COOKS? I'm definately suing VZW then, I thought they were a wireless provider. Now your telling me they are cooks, I was way off-->VZW has been advertising falsely all along if they are cooks.

I went into the verizon store today and was told by the store manager that the phone can indeed connect to your PC via Bluetooth and download and upload what you want.....

Maybe they have not heard but the phone has been disabled.

When I questioned him and showed him some of the info on the net he said they were wrong. I then further said then if this can be done show me.

He responded that he could not do this because there was no computer with bluetooth available to do it.

Aha I said and went to the car and brought in my PC with bluetooth. I then got alot of he can't do it because its against the policy of Verizon to tamper with my computer YADA YADA YADA.

Hey, you know what?

Verizon was being deceptive. The average consumer doesn't have time to go into the nitty-gritty details of bluetooth, and Verizon knows it. People bought the phone with the intention that they could sync it with their computer. Take a look at Phonescoop, and how many people have complained about it! Get the hint? No? That's why you're supporting Verizon. Verizon disabled BT SOLELY FOR PROFIT. That's what swindlers do.

Deceptive or not, it certainly wasn't illegal. There was no "willful, deceptive and oppressive conduct" as the lawsuit alleges. That is the single, most important, provable fact of the case. VzW has the right to restrict BT profiles if they choose to do so. period. I can't say I agree with the decision by VzW, I would have voted against it if I had the option, but again - they are in business to make a profit as all other companies are. Don't like the way they do business? Go somewhere else - that's the beauty of competition. Don't like the fact that companies will attempt to make a profit any way they possibly can? Don't live in a capitalist country.

Oh please! Verizon's reputation will probably only take a small hit. There will be no massive exodus like there was with ATTWS.
I would like to know how many csr's have actually been on a sales floor selling phones. I have sold for both a wireless carrier and dealers offering multiple carriers.
Joe Consumer comes into the store and has no clue about anything. If he is informed at all it is usually misinformed. (All those ATTWS/Cingular reps saying that GSM is newer than CDMA and has more coverage and all of thase T-Mobile reps saying their phones have more coverage than any other US carrier)

The point i was trying to make is that bluetooth functionality is a kind of a niche tech-head type feature. I doubt many of the people that purchased the phone with the intention of transfing files from thier phone to thier PC via bluetooth, are without internet access.

And again, even if they were in that situation without the internet, and they purchased this phone with that feature being important to them, it still doesnt explain why they wouldnt test this feature they had assumed the phone had during the 15 day period they are alloted to test the phone and return it for a full refund.
