Business 101

by whatwhatjbdo    Mar 1, 2012, 8:14 PM

You all seem to not understand that AT&T is a business...if you have service with AT&T or any other provider this is no different. You should all consider what you are agreeing to when you start service and sign contracts...if you dont, that is your fault, not AT&Ts. Go to their website and search for Terms and conditions (or Verizon or Tmo or your regional carrier). It is no different than any other provider of services. If there are no policies in place, then there is no consistency which is worse than having a few people not able to download torrents or stream movies. This is AT&Ts business. When it is FredT&T or AmyT&T or when you get to own a business that provides internet access for over 100 million connected devices...you make the rules that keep the access to your customers how you see fit while balancing shareholders happiness and customer needs. I think that AT&T is doing a great job of addressing the masses...not just one or 28 people in a blog that are mad they cannot stream netflix 24 hours a day. Even businesses that use their network for laptop connection or tablets dont NEED to consume that much data. It is funny to see that because we all own devices that have the ability to get to the internet just about whenever we want...means we should be on it.
Try this...go outside for a walk. Get some exercise for a bit. Instead of streaming Pandora, talk to a friend...not on Facebook...in real life...face to face. Why have we all lost one of the best means of communications. No wonder more than half of marriages end bec of FB.

FYI...I am married, have an iphone, and a FB account...oh and Netflix. I manage to use about 1 gig per month. At my location with AT&T, I average 8-9 Mb down and 2.2 up with the 4s (Seattle). It sure is fast, but that does not mean i HAVE to use it as much as i can. I have a bit of an external life to my smartphone though. Try it...its fun to see trees and stuff. I also climb mountains and love short walks on the beach...too long and the sand goes you know where.
