With them outsourcing the maintenance of their network to Ericsson and going WiMax when the whole world is going LTE is just the beginning of their problems.

Someone sounds aggie with there service. And wish they could switch over to sprint now. My guess is you have an etf fee pending because any person in there right mind would move to a plan for 69.99 everything data 450 when 90% of there calls are to m2m that makes this plan unt and your discountw ould still apply so say you rec 20% off your bill that means you can have your bb or high data tranfer device on an unt plan for 56.00 wow sounds good to me. If I was on another network I would change in a snap.

I almost wish I weren't on Sprint already, because I would love to switch over. I came from T-Mobile last December, and I seriously consider that as my christmas present to myself. Now that Sprint has introduced Anywhere Anytime I wish I could enjoy the excitement of a new customer again. ๐

Ha! trust me, it's not about the price but thhe service is what counts.
I've been through T-Mo, Cingular, att, nextel you name it....every single carrier and I always thought verizon suck ass in reception until I switched back in 2005.
Sprint is just no competition against att or vzw

I work for the shack, and we sell Sprint, Tmo and ATT, and unless they're upgrading, or VERY insistent on ATT, I sell them sprint. As far as Stockton is concerned, sprint has THE best service. Idk how many parties I've went to where people have ATT or Tmo, and I have the only working phone....hmm....

i had verizon for 6 months and had minimum of 4 dropped calls a week.. i have now had sprint for 4 years and ive never had one dropped call.. whats the point of of coverage with no service.. ive actually called my mom (att) in her own house and her phone wont ring on her end but it will indicate missed calls.

Here's the thing to think about. It requires the Everything Data Plan, which is 69.99 for 450 minutes. If you don't require data, how good is the plan when you can get 900 minutes (without messaging) for 10 dollars less. Those 450 minutes probably more than cover what most people will using to call all non-Sprint phones.
After all, how many people are paying 89.99 for the 900 minute Everything Data plan when they could Get Simply Everything for $10 more?

My point was that by linking it to a data plan, they're not really targeting the right people. Existing Spring talk only customers won't convert to this because they'd be paying more for the same service. Talk/Messengers, might convert since it gets them unlimited data for the same price, but that just costs Sprint money.
Most people on Verizon and AT&T aren't going anywhere. None of Sprint's or Tmobile's discounted pricing has made any dent in number of the big twos' subscribers. This won't either.

I know a few people that would love to switch to a more inexpensive carrier but don't because they know someone on the same carrier that knows someone on the same carrier that knows someone on the same carrier etc. The free M2M is the kicker and people don't want to give that up. It is two hard to gather everyone up in a large grouped circle. This is an amazing offering by Sprint. However, subscribers of family plans will not sacrifice the M2M I speak of. Individuals of single entity can reap enormous benefits from this offering though.

People may not be switching where you are, but I've done 10 new sprint accounts (not all single lines) and 2 AT&T new accounts, in the last 30 days that were all either VZW or Alltel customers.
People are buying value, and that's exactly what Sprint is offering. This sounds like an awesome deal to me, and I know it'll be putting more money in my pockets as I keep taking people away from big red.

As far as LTE and Wimax. If you actually do the research its a lot easier to switch from wimax to LTE. The technologies are more similar than you may think. And there's been article before where Sprint has said that if ultimately LTE is the better service they will make the switch.

Most of you guys on these forums are techies. Most cell phone users are not. The reason this will not make any difference is because most cell phone users are more interested in their friends than they are with all these fancy features and benefits. If their friends are on ATT they will want to be on ATT so their friends will call them using their Mobile to Mobile feature.
If they switch to Sprint they will be afraid their friends will stop calling them or will not want to talk long if they call them. It may be free for them to call their friends but their friends will now have to pay every time they call them and that is not acceptable to most users.
That is why it will not work.
Most users don't pay much attention to all that...

A few years ago, yes. I would have agreed 110% with you. However, I think today people are more concerned with saving money then what their friends do or do not have.
Working in sales directly I get asked a lot of questions. If I had to create a list of them, "How Much?" would be at the top. "is there Mobile to Mobile" would be on the list but not at the top. Finally, "Can my friends call me for free?" is not even on the list.
What I mean by that is, people today are not as much concerned about how much their friends have to pay to be able to contact them but rather how much they have to pay to stay in contact with their friends.
